Welcome to OnScreenRuler. By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use.

OnScreenRuler provides free online ruler tools that allow you to measure distances on your screen using units such as inches, centimeters, millimeters, and pixels.

Using OnScreenRuler

You may use OnScreenRuler for personal, educational, professional, or commercial purposes.

You may use the ruler for normal measurement and reference purposes, but you should use appropriate physical measuring equipment when an exact or professionally verified measurement is required.

Measurement Accuracy

OnScreenRuler uses information about your screen to display measurements. When measuring physical objects, calibration is important because screens have different sizes, resolutions, and pixel densities.

The accuracy of a measurement can also be affected by browser zoom, display scaling, device settings, or incorrect calibration.

For important, safety related, medical, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or other precision measurements, do not rely solely on OnScreenRuler. Always verify the measurement using an appropriate physical measuring instrument.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether an online measurement is suitable for your particular use.

For measurements where accuracy is important, always compare the result with a physical ruler, measuring tape, caliper, or another appropriate measuring instrument.
